Digibug helps Gundenham Dairy website moo-ve with the times
Forget cricket, Morris dancing and quaint thatched cottages with a twee rose arch over the front door. Nothing is more unmistakably British than the clink of milk bottles arriving on your doorstep before breakfast.
Which means Digibug’s fresh new client, Gundenham Dairy, could be literally right up your street. Or at least their products may be.
Somerset-based Gundenham has been home to cows that produce rich, creamy milk for at least the last 90 years. Their 500 acres are currently roamed by 350 Holstein Friesians, who spend every day chewing the cud so that you, or at least someone near you, can enjoy fresh milk, cheese, butter, cream and eggs.
Okay, we don’t think the eggs come from the cows. Neither do the bacon, biscuits, bread and basketful of other produce that Gundenham delivers to their customers.
To help promote all this Somerset goodness, and to help raise their profile as a centre for agricultural education (try saying that after a mug of West Country cider), Gundenham knew they needed a website.
And not just any old website. As a past winner of Radio 4’s Food & Farming Award for Best Food Producer, Gundenham knew they deserved only the best. Which is why they came to Digibug.
What Gundenham is to dairy farming, Digibug is to graphic design and website development. Traditional skills, commitment to quality and the occasional spot of nimble footwork to avoid standing in something unpleasant.
From the initial meeting in the Somerset pastures, the Digibug team digested Gundenham’s requirements, and delivered a cool, fresh website that they love. Not only does it look mouthwateringly good, it also integrates with the Dairy’s social media strategy and helps new and potential customers find what they want in just a click or two. (Or should that be a click or moo?)
